My Family

This is my family. Mitch, on the left, is 21 years old. Yes, I had him when I was twelve. Just kidding. However, last week when he was having his wisdom teeth removed, the nurses and doctor thought I was his girlfriend. While Mitch was totally freaked out by their assumption, I, on the other hand, instantly considered them to be my new best friends.
Mitch's passion is music. He plays the drums in a band called "Next Year's Best." That's kind of a clever title if you think about each time they are introduced..."Now, let's hear it for Next Year's Best!"
Next is Peyton. She is 14. Peyton is excited about going into high school next year because, according to her, Jr. high is evil. Peyton loves to write 18th century romance stories. I think it's because she's not allowed to date. The truth is Peyton doesn't care to date. Her philosophy is..."what good is dating until you're ready to get married." I like her philosophy. Peyton also likes to write fiction and poems. Her writing is really good. I don't know where she gets it from.
Parker, who we are all holding, will be 11 in just a few weeks. He's almost as tall as I am. We're not sure what gene pool his height came out of but it goes well with his athletic abilities. This summer his baseball All-Star team has won every tournament so far. Next week we go to state. If we win state, we'll go to the World Series. How cool is that? Parker plays third base and has hit two, over the fence, home runs so far.
All this excitement has brought back old memories for my husband. He played in the World Series as a 12 year old. Funny though. Each time he tells the story, he seems to get better. I think I'll have a t-shirt made up for him that says..."The Older I Get The Better I Was"
Pat is the best husband and father there is. His mother trained him well. I was lucky or smart enough to see that and marry him! As the spiritual leader of our home, he naturally runs things...the vacuum, the dishwasher and the washing machine, too! All kidding aside, I thank God everyday for my sweet husband. He really is the best. He does have the gift of service and God knows I don't deny him his gift. Pat leads our family by serving it. In this way, he truly mirrors Christ love for the church, His bride.
As you can see, my family makes me look good. They love me in the mornings when I'm cranky. They inspire me, teach me, and forgive me a lot. In 2003, Parent Life Magazine nominated me Mother of the Year. Our family got a good laugh out of it. I'm certainly not perfect and if anyone deserves Mother of the Year it's my husband who holds down the fort while I travel the world sharing Christ.
I guess we're all in it together. When God called me, He called us all. Not only are we serving God and others, but we are learning to serve one another as well. I hope it's a heritage that last for generations to come.
Until next time...God bless

Welcome
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that I would have a blog. You see, English was my worst subject in school. I hated writing. Worse, I was too shy to speak out loud to more than three people at a time. Those who know me now may find that hard to believe. I have since evolved into a non-stop chatter box.

So why do I write and speak? Because God signed me up to do so. I've found that you can run from God but you can't hide...not for long anyway. I tried. Eventually, I had to surrender to His plans for my life. Ever since, life has been one adventure after another. Don't misunderstand. My adventures are not always good ones. Some are good and some are not. I'm learning that the not so good ones God uses as tools for shaping me into His purpose. I'm guessing that blogging, since it's out of my comfort zone, is another tool God will use to mold me.

However, I must warn you. If you're one of those people who reads everything with a red pen in hand, then you will either love my blog or it will drive you insane. I do not spell well. So, I've developed a philosophy...it takes a creative person to be able to spell a word more than one way.

I hope as I grow and learn in the world of blogging, you will visit me often. Any help you can offer will be well received. I love having smart friends who make me appear smart too.

Until next time...God bless.

Speaking Topics
NEW TOPIC...Faith That is Stronger Than All My Fear....soon to be a book!

Fearful, anxious, worried, panic-stricken are the words that describe nearly 40 million American’s. What are we afraid of…a falling economy; abduction of our children, a failing marriage, what others think, riding in an airplane or the unknown? Paralyzing its victim, anxieties can place limits on life and cause us to seek faulty methods to remedy our fears.
In this widely acclaimed conference, Micca uncovers those flawed methods and teaches audiences how to develop a faith that frees them to live carefree in the care of God. You’ll walk away from this conference with new found faith and nothing more to fear.

Cultivating a Heart of Contentment
(Conference or Key Note)

Instead of blooming with contentment that attracts others to the aroma of Christ in you, does your dissatisfaction cause you to look more like a plastic floral arrangement? In this conference, Micca teaches with insight and humor how you can cultivate a heart of contentment where you are, with what you have, and in any circumstance. No more plastic flowers. Become alive and growing again through the only One who can satisfy your heart’s deepest longings. It’s what you’ve been looking for.

Genuine Faith:
(Conference Topic or Key Note)

Have you ever noticed the label on a bottle of Heresy’s chocolate syrup? It reads, Genuine Artificial Chocolate. Do you ever feel like your faith has become genuinely artificial? Have you fallen for the lie that dead faith is real faith stuck in a rut? Why settle for artificial faith, or artificial chocolate, when you can have the real thing. In this transforming conference, you’ll learn how to live with a dynamic faith that comes only through a life abandoned to God. The secret is not struggling to live for God, but allowing Him to live through you. You’ll leave forever changed!

I’m Living In the Fast Lane and Looking for an Exit!
(Conference or Key Note)

If the fast pace of life is about to run you over, exit here! Micca knows all too well the busy schedule of a woman. This conference promises real-life application that will help you slow down and enjoy your life, family, and relationship with God; even have time to visit the Spa! In this valuable conference, Micca helps you discover your gifts and purpose so the extra activities fall away leaving room for what truly matters. Like spending the day at the Spa, you’ll walk away renewed, refreshed, and ready to live a more peacefully balanced life.

Live Like You Mean It—Removing the Mask!
(Conference or Key Note)

It’s time to take off the mask and live like you mean it! Do you sometimes wear more than one mask at a time, or does your desire to fit in have you constantly changing masks for every occasion? Micca has good news. God never called you to fit in, but to stand out through your own unique design and talents. Stop the masquerade. Learn from Micca how to live free from fear and empowered by the Spirit of God. You no longer have to play it safe. Discover how dangerously exciting living free can be!

The God of All Hope—For Real Women with Real Struggles Finding Real Hope
(Conference or Key Note)

Like many, you may have lost hope, but the God of Hope has not lost you. Experiencing adversity early in life prepared Micca for her biggest trial of all, the tragic death of her husband. Through years of anger she eventually cried out to God and found herself in the presence of the “Comforter.” Through laughter and tears you will be encouraged and enlightened as Micca shares wisdom for rising above difficult circumstances. Learn from Micca’s testimony how hope in God soothes the soul and transforms the ashes of a broken heart to the beauty of a life restored.

What others are saying about Micca...

"Micca Campbell's story is one that should be heard by all. She has faced every woman's greatest fears, dealt with them in a real and honest way, and found the peace that can only come from a sweet relationship with Jesus. I give Micca my highest recommendation as a speaker, teacher, and leader in ministry. She is not only an amazing communicator but also a dear personal friend." Lysa TerKeurst, speaker, author, and president of Proverbs 31 Ministries, Charlotte, NC (2006)

"Micca is a wonderfully gifted woman who has a passion to speak for the Lord. I am convinced that she has a call of God upon her life. She is a blessings to me and to this fellowship. However, I believe she is an even greater blessing to the kingdom of God." Pastor James R. Moore

“Dear Micca, Thank you so much for sharing your story on “Water Through the Word” Radio! It is so inspiring to see what God is accomplishing through you and your powerful ministry. I love your boldness and confidence in Christ. We will re-broadcast your show many more times locally, regionally, nationally and internationally reaching Europe, Africa, South America, Middle East, Israel and Australia. Your voice will be heard by over 4 billion people who are searching for truth. We so believe in you and your ministry that we want to promote you as much as possible! You are loved, Erin Campbell, Water through the Word Radio, Cincinnati, OH (2007)

One word describes Micca—Memorable! Micca’s passion, for Jesus and His ability to heal hurting lives, breathes new life into every listener. She captivates the audience with her ability to weave deep truths together with humor. Micca’s message will change your life. I know she changed mine!—Susanne Scheppmann, Author & Speaker Las Vegas, NV. (Conference 2006)

"Micca Campbell's messages on genuine faith spoke to me deeply in regard to how I respond to adversity in my life. She speaks with great clarity, compassion and enthusiasm, using humor and applications from her own walk of faith. I feel that she truly speaks from the heart and has a genuine desire to honor our Lord and Savior."Brenda Lewis Christ Independent Methodist Church Palatka, Florida (Women's Conference)

Dear Micca: I am so touched, to the point of tears, as I write this to you, to tell you how much your insights have touched my heart and my spirit. How much it means to read your story and know that someone else knows pain like I do. You offer such hope. I now believe I can make it. Thank you for your obedience to God.” Kathy Rosen, (Conference participant)

Micca's Bio
Micca Campbell has been described as “one of a kind.” Her southern style, down-home humor, and real-life applications will make you instant friends, but her ability to communicate God’s Word with power and passion will change your life! As a master-storyteller, she is convinced that God allows strange happenings in her life to provide modern day illustrations for His timeless truths. Through her sense of humor, Micca is able to bring down walls of resistance so that Light can penetrate all hearts. Weave in her passion for making Truth a reality in every woman’s life, and you have a dynamic mix that is sure to challenge and inspire audiences of all kinds.

Micca is a popular speaker with Proverbs 31 Ministries and endorsed by Christian Speakers 4 You, an organization authorized by Pasty Clairmont and promoted by Women of Faith. Micca has been a student of God’s Word for over 20 years. One day, during her studies, God called her into full-time ministry. Eager to serve, Micca was tempted to purchase a bus, paint Jesus Saves across the side, and set out to save the world! But God had a different plan, and today, Micca is a national speaker for women’s events, touching and transforming the lives of thousands across the U.S.— without the bus. She is a contributing author to For the Write Reason and God’s Purpose for Every Woman; A P31 Woman’s Devotional, to be released by Harvest House in June, 2007. Micca is the Director of Outreach for Proverbs 31 Ministries, and writes regularly for the ministry’s online devotionals, “Encouragement for Today,” featured on Crosswalk.com.

After a house fire claimed the life of her husband, Micca found herself alone, a new mother and a widow at the age of 21. As one who has experienced grief, Micca tenderly demonstrates, with wisdom and authenticity, how God is enough for even the darkest times. She has since remarried a wonderful man, and to the surprise of their three children, was named Mother of the Year in 2003 by ParentLife Magazine. Together they enjoy bike rides, swimming, and vacationing at the beach.
