One For The Memory Books!

My “mother” cup is overflowing!

The World Series title went to S.C. making us the runner-ups. We are so proud of our boys. It’s been 5 years since a team from TN has come this close to winning the World Series. The last win was in 2004! The NC team was phenomenal!!! We beat them the first game we played and they beat us the second game. They had a pitcher that threw nothing but drop balls. He was amazing and the talk of the tournament concerning pitchers!!

Parker had an exceptional tournament, too! He tied a 30 year old record for the most consecutive homeruns hit in the World Series (we were told that his name will go in the record books!) AND…he won the batting trophy which means he had the highest batting average in the whole tournament!! That’s out of 13 teams with 12 players each. Pretty cool, huh???

It’s funny how grandparents, Pat, and even Mitch, Parker’s older brother, are taking credit for Parker’s talent when he obviously got it from his mother!

Thank you for your prayers. God was good!! In last year’s tournament, Parker couldn’t hit the backside of a barn. What a difference a year can make! I hope Parker continues to have success in baseball. But if he doesn’t, this is a memory Parker will NEVER forget—neither will his mom and dad.

I'm so glad his Mama passed on such talent. That is definitely one for the memory books. Do I see a future in professional baseball on the horizon?

So cool!! Our 8 year old has watched the Little league World Series and I told him about Parker and his home run record. Parker just bumped me to another cool status!

Our families are in debate over our red haired children and where they got the gene since neither My Dear or have red hair....sounds just like Parker's baseball skills that he got from his mama!
